Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry

With the weather changing so often, it gets confusing to match a dish that suits whichever comes up. In the end I chose the freshness of the broccoli to match the thickened marinade of the beef to balance this dish.

What’s in it:

  • Beef, strips or cubed
  • Broccoli, bite-size florets
  • Soy sauce, 1 1/2 c
  • Lemon, 1 whole squeezed
  • Red chili, 3 small pcs
  • Garlic, 4 cloves minced
  • Pepper, 1-2 tsp
  • Wild rice, cook according to box instructions

Marinade the meat in a bowl of soy sauce, lemon juice, chilies, garlic and pepper for at least 15 minutes prior to cooking. Cook broccoli until the stalks are slightly tender then set aside. Cook the meat at medium heat until browned on the outside then add the broccoli. Add some of the marinade to coat the meat and broccoli. Transfer to a serving bowl then cook the rest of the marinade in the same pan until slightly thickened. Drizzle on the rice, meat and broccoli.

  1. I tried this dish today, It was delicious, I added some sesame oil and Lao Gan Ma Chilli Condiment as I didn’t have any fresh chillies. I loved your recipe it was delicious! Thank you so much.
