Buying a bag of mixed salad allows me to have two portions which means two meals for me before the expiration. Sometimes salads can taste bitter hence the need for sauce but I often don’t get that when I buy them from Migros or Coop. After washing them properly, only a drizzle of french dressing works for me.

- French dressing
Just like in my previous salad posts, I almost always opt for hard boiled eggs with my salad as a protein source. Sometimes adding nuts for an earthy flavor and bacon bits for saltiness make it really tasty. In Terasse they add artichokes which was really a great source of sour taste instead of tomatoes. You always have the option to add salt and pepper but with a heavy dressing there’s absolutely no need.
Other dressing options would be Italian or vinegar based giving you that tingly feeling. A really simple one is to use olive oil, lemon juice, adding salt and pepper to taste. It has enough diversity of greens, other veggies, and protein.
