It must be at least 2 years since I last had muesli and upon watching dozens of youtube videos showing variations, I actually absorbed as much information to find the right breakfast bowl formula for me.
Soaking the muesli is very important for digestion which is why I leave it soaking overnight especially when I’m having an early shift which doesn’t really give me time to eat at home but at least on the go.
What’s in it:
- Muesli, 1 c
- Almond milk, 3/4 c
- Agave syrup, 2 tsp
Additional ingredients are dried fruits, dark chocolate, nuts and chia seeds. Yogurt and fruit juice can be used as milk substitutes. Toasting the muesli is also an option if that is the flavor you’re going for.
You can prepare the dry ingredients in zip lock bags or jars and soak one at time overnight ready to eat the next day. It is very healthy and versatile. This is now my breakfast buddy in accomplishing the 28 Day Challenge.
And what about honey?

Honey is good too. There’s no problem substituting agave with honey or even eat it unsweetened. It really depends on how you want your muesli to taste like if it is more on the sweeter side or tangy for example.

I also tried figs. Another good option!

Love your bowl? Where is it from?

Got it at Globus in Zürich. Other stores like Ars Longa and a store down at Stadelhofen sell them too.
