Ever since I saw the image of the patties on Pinterest, I immediately wrote it down on my planner’s “To Cook” list. If you’re planning to mix up your main dishes with veggie side dishes but have willfull children or life partner 😂 then it tends to get difficult to get them to eat it.
Similar to Rösti Medallions, they’re both savory and filling but this of course is without added artificial flavoring. Topped with sour cream, this delectable side dish is complete.
What’s in it: Potato Patties
- Spinach
- Garlic
- Panko crumbs (I used roasted hazelnut crumbs to give it an added depth of sweet and toasty flavor)
- Potatoes
- Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Milk
- Salt & pepper
- Egg
- Cooking oil
Prepare and cook potatoes like you would mashed potatoes. Set aside while you cook the spinach with the garlic and season with salt and pepper. Combine the two in a mixing bowl adding the cheese, egg and crumbs. Now you can start cooking it like you would burger patties cooking each side up to 3-4 minutes.
Three different ways of cooking mold into one delicious outcome and that is the gift of a Spinach Potatos Patty.
Looks delicious! Looking forward to reading more from you 😊
