I found this recipe on pinterest and got curious. The sauce of the dish lives up to its name because of the heat. I complain and criticize often, especially when heat and flavor are imbalanced. That is why I like this sauce so much. Yes it is hot, I can assure you that but it is also bursting with other flavors.
It isn’t difficult to make. Nothing new about making meatballs. You get your ground meat, shape small portions into balls and then cook/bake them. However, the sauce is where you should pay attention.
What’s in it (sauce):
- Hot sauce
- Brown sugar
- Apple cider vinegar
- Red pepper flakes
I didn’t make enough of this sauce because I wasn’t sure if the heat would be too much for Hubby so some were topped of with tomato sauce for pasta. Both turned out great in the end and really filling that we could barely finish eating them.
