Look at this colorful dish. I saw all the squashes at Coop and was wondering why on earth don’t I make Pinakbet? I could almost easily get the ingredients from one grocery with the exception of okra, shrimp paste and for some reason I couldn’t find the bittergourd. Nevertheless, I did it and reminded me of my grandmother’s cooking.
What’s in it:
– Squash
– String Beans
– Onion
– Pork
– Fish sauce (shrimp paste sub)
– Tomatoes
– Aubergine
You’re right, it is a beautiful dish. The best part about it, I’m sure, was the actual flavor. Great combination of flavors, except I’d probably switch the pork for something like beef or veal. Personal preference! 🙂

Same with me but that was the dish my grandmother made abd I attempted to make it as good as she did.
