What grade are you going into? (or year of college) College Freshie
What are you excited and/or nervous for this year? New school, new system, and I’m hoping not to lose my work ethic.
What’s your favorite part of getting ready for back to school? I make sure days or even a week in advance that my things are ready for the first day of school. I suppose you could say that that’s my ritual. The most important is the final check on the night before when I look through my clothes and choose what to wear.
What grade were you in when you first started wearing makeup? 3rd year high school
Where or whom do you like getting inspiration for back to school trends & styles? At the moment, since it’s a business school, I’m mostly likely to just look the part while adding a touch of my own personality.
What are your favorite “back to school” trends for this year? Wearing blazers as a finishing touch to my outfit.
Where do you like to go shopping for back to school supplies? My favorite pens are ballpoint pens by Pilot. I get my agendas at Globus or at Ording & Reda. It’s easier to use a laptop for taking notes since it’s quicker to record lecture notes. Instead handwritten notes, they’ll be typewritten and I’m thinking of using an Asus Eee Transformer Pad, which is both a tablet and a notebook because of the keyboard that also serves as its charging station.
What are your favorite stores to go back to school shopping? H&M, Topshop, C&A
Will you be carrying a backpack or purse to school this year? Definitely a purse since we’ll be using ebooks more in school now.
What are 3 non-beauty essentials you HAVE to carry in your backpack/purse? Alcogel, book, pen
What are 3 beauty essentials you HAVE to carry in your backpack/purse? Lipbalm, lipstick, face powder
What are your go-to hair products for this year, and what is your go-to hairstyle? NOURISH + MOISTURIZE shampoo and conditioner by Aveeno. It’s always easier to keep my hair down because it’s absolutely straight as if it was constantly ironed or I just keep it up in a ponytail.
What are your go-to makeup products this year, and what is your favorite go-to makeup look for school? Naked eye-shadow palette by Urban Decay, Springsheen Sheertone Shimmer Blush by Mac, Medium Deep Mineralize Skinfinish Natural by Mac, Medium Prep+Prime Eye by Mac, black and brown eyeliner by Dior, They’re Real! mascara by Benefit, and anti-dark circles roll-on by Garnier. It looks like it’s a lot but I’ve been using it for the summer too that it’s pretty easy and quick to put on. It’s the eyes that stand out in this look depending on how much shimmer eyeshadow I use.
What are your go-to clothing items for back to school, and what accessories do you plan to rock this year? As I’ve mentioned earlier, I would start wearing a corporate look while adding my personality. It won’t completely be corporate because it’s completed by a blazer that finishes the look into a corporate one. Pair it with jeans if the weather is cool and a tank top.
