Travel Guide: Bathroom essentials

Not everyone packs the same things or has the same needs when it comes to bath products. This post is then specific to my bag, which might give you an idea on what you can put in yours. Here’s a list of my bathroom products that I’m bringing with me to my trip to the Philippines.

Bathroom essentials:

  • Rainforest Shampoo from The Body Shop

  • Hair brush
  • No. 1049 5″ Hercules-Sägemann comb for bouncing curls*
  • No. 4930 7 1/2″ Hercules-Sägemann comb for razor cutting and graduating*
  • L’oréal Paris Studio Line Silk&Gloss Fixer Spray*
  • BaByliss Pro 180 Curling iron*
You’re probably wondering how I’m going to fit all of this in my bag. I might probably end up looking like the next Mary Poppins. What I do is the stuff that are most likely to get wet should be packed in a sandwich bag first. The hair accessories such as the ponytails, hairpins and clips should be together in a container so you don’t have to rummage through your stuff looking for them. The cords for curling irons and hairdryers should be rolled up and tied and everything else should be easy to find after. But the best for this are the toiletry bags that already have sections like the one below.

That’s it for my bathroom needs. Up next is my makeup kit and how I keep it light but still manage to have everything you need to make a complete summer look.
